 Automaton = something that moves by itself but cannot think (e.g. robots)

 Representation = the way something is presented over and over again by the producer. 
In representation we never see reality, we only see what is being represented and edited. This is in documentaries, movies, TV, shows etc. 
The purpose of re-presentation is to present the ideology of the producer to an audience, in order to manipulate them. 
Representations influence reality.

- Manual Labour 
- Mother - emotional attachment between Anita and little girl

- Friend 

 Anita is taking over the role as mother and takes over the role as mother 

 According to Claude Levi Strauss, texts convey their meanings through a system of binary oppositions. Evaluate this theory and refer to Humans. 
Binary oppositions are essential for the producer to construct complicated ideological representations..
